This empowerment programme was aimed at ensuring that young girls grow into being ‘independent and self-reliant’ women in years to come. As the owner of Makari Strategy Development, Boniswa also runs the Makari Teen Galz Mentoring Programme with a vision of bringing out the best in teenager girls, empowering them to make positive life choices that will enable them to maximize personal potential. She runs a teen life skills programme called LIFT (Lifeskills Intervention for Teenagers) a programme that stems from her passion in working with teenagers, believing that if they are nurtured they will acquire the necessary skills to help them know themselves better, establish healthy relationships and be the best they can be in life. Both programmes were fully funded by Film and Publication Board for two years. The teenagers were involved in life skills programmes, educational camps as well as Teen Summits.
